CPR training is changing for the better.
Starting July 1, Basic Live Support and Advanced Cardiac Live Support training will transition entirely to self-directed online and lab courses created by the American Heart Association.
HERE'S HOW IT'LL WORK:
- You will take a BLS or ACLS education course online-setting your own pace and working where it's convenient for you: from home or in an OhioHealth computer lab.
- Next, you'll test your knowledge on a computerized manikin in a lab located in the OhioHealth facility where you work. You'll have access to the lab 24 hours a day, and can complete as much or a little you want with each visit.
- When you've completed both the online course and the lab skills test, your transcript will be updated immediately, with no extra paperwork to fill out.
