Brain & Stroke Therapy

  • To work with my dedicated therapist to regain body function after my stroke
  • To utilize a weight-supported treadmill to improve my walking and balance
  • To set goals that will allow me to keep up with my five year old son

Our team of experts will partner with you, other medical professionals and family members to develop an individualized and comprehensive treatment plan that will help you recover. Our therapists specialize in neurologic disorders and address the physical and cognitive as well as social and emotional aspects of recovery.

Therapies

  • Physical Therapy –We offer advanced treatment techniques and innovative technologies to help neurological patients improve their gait and balance and regain the strength and mobility to function independently.
  • Occupational Therapy – Focus is on returning patients to their daily activities, helping them regain necessary skills for getting dressed, driving and relearning other tasks. Therapists provide patients with new strategies to achieve their personal goals.
  • Speech Therapy –A variety of techniques are used to treat speech disorders, including dysphagia, aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, voice disorders, cognitive communication deficits and stuttering.
  • Neuropsychology – Cognitive testing is used to assess the psychological effects of neurological disorders and how patients are adjusting to lifestyle changes.
  • Social Services and Support Groups – To assist patients and families we provide social, as well as stroke and caregiver support groups.
