The Right Stents at the Right Time

Riverside Methodist Hospital is the only hospital in central Ohio with a comprehensive supply of drug-eluting stents, mesh tubes used to prop open clogged arteries. It means patients are treated immediately, as opposed to waiting for the right sized drug-eluting stent or receiving a bare-metal stent.  Riverside physicians were some of the first in the country to use drug-eluting stents, now considered the first major breakthrough in the treatment of heart disease in 25 years.
